Generation Putnam, founded in 2009, is made up of motivated and energetic young professionals who are destined to become the area’s future leaders. Generation Putnam encourages members to get involved and make a difference by becoming active participants in the professional, civic, and social aspects of our area. Generation Putnam accomplishes this through various community outreach, professional development, and networking activities. Moreover, the group is active in helping to create legislative policy. As part of its initiatives in 2012, Generation Putnam will continue its focus on promoting healthy lifestyles and continuing to combat the problem of childhood obesity. Generation Putnam is a division of the Putnam County Chamber of Commerce and is affiliated with Generation West Virginia. Generation Putnam is governed by seven officers: a Director, Immediate Past Director, Assistant Director, Secretary/Treasurer, Networking Chair, Professional Development Chair, and Community Outreach Chair. Officers serve one year terms.
